Armenian ICT Sector promoted in Thailand
On Thursday 21st of April 2016, the Armenian – Thai Chamber of Commerce President Mr. Arto Artinian Hosted the official Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce Presidents’ Council meeting, welcoming Presidents and Executive Directors from more than 25 Foreign Chambers, under the leadership of JFCCT Chairman Mr. Stanley Kang, Vice Chairman Mr. Phongsakdi Chakshuvej and notably Mr. Piyabutr Cholvijarn from the eminent Board of Trade of the Kingdom of Thailand.
The meeting kicked off with the registration and arrival of the all Chambers’ Presidents and following introduction and the group photo session, the meeting convened with the official welcome by the Armenian – Thai Chamber of Commerce President Mr. Arto Artinian who in his welcome conveyed the enduring economic challenges and opportunities in Armenia, and expressed the willingness of the Armenian business community to build collaborations in Armenia adding great greater emphasis on key growth points such as taking advantage of the growth of the ICT Sector in Armenia.
The presentation: Armenia: Regional ICT HUB 2.0 was delivered by Armenian – Thai Executive Director Paris Kouyoumdjian and was defined in terms of the economic profile of the RA, the structure numbers and growth of the companies in Armenia’s ICT sector as well as the competitive advantage of the Armenian economic ecosystem, encompassing the various specializations, the current levels and direction of demand, the strategic direction taken by the industry leadership, the facilitation provided by the governments, the summary of the major stakeholders of the ICT ecosystem of Armenia, the clarification of the Armenian skill mindsets and major challenges and opportunities which stipulate and sustain the long term success of the Armenian ICT Sector.
